It may take a while for these events to begin if you want to start celebrating the season early.
There are a lot of games that can help you get into the Halloween spirit, and it can be hard to tell the difference between the good and the bad ones. These games are sure to make you feel like the scariest person ever.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which came out in 1974, is one of the most famous horror movies ever made. The game with the same name lets you play as either the Slaughter family or one of the victims trying to get away. Many people think of scary movies when they think of Halloween, so anything that makes you feel like one is the perfect cure.

MediEvil was first launched in 1998 for the PlayStation. In 2019, it was completely remade for the PlayStation 4, which made it easier than ever to pick up and play. MediEvil will make you feel like a real scared hero, whether you’re avoiding scary clowns or fighting ghouls.

The setting of The Mortuary Assistant, where you play as the title character, is one of the scariest in video games. You have to figure out which of the dead bodies you’re taking care of is home to a demon. To do this, you’ll have to look for signs and try not to get so scared that you have to take a break and tell yourself that the made-up video game demon can’t hurt you.

If you want to play as a horror hero like Michael Myers or as a survivor running away from them, Dead By Daylight has what you need.
With figures from Silent Hill and other old-school series, the game is full of enjoyable nostalgia. As an asymmetrical cooperative game, you can work with three friends to try to get away from the killer, or you can play by yourself and look for survivors. There isn’t another thing that has as much scary nostalgia in one package.
Luigi’s Mansion 3
You shouldn’t play most scary games with your family, but there are some that are great for kids. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of the best. It’s an action-adventure puzzle game where you play as Mario’s half-brother. As you explore a haunted house with your undead pet, Polterpup, you have to get rid of all the ghosts using a vacuum cleaner inspired by Ghostbusters.
With its bright colors, cute graphics, and fun atmosphere, Luigi’s Mansion 3 shows you how scared Luigi is by the ghosts and the atmosphere of the hotel without ever making these things seem scary to you. This is a great way to get into the Halloween mood, whether you play with your family or by yourself.
Pumpkin Jack

In Haunting Starring Polterguy, which takes place in 1993, you play as Polterguy, a tough guy who turns into a poltergeist. You want to get back at the Sardini family for running a business that made the bad skateboard that killed you, so you haunt their homes and follow them to each new one.
You reach your horrible goals by taking control of everyday items and either trapping them for the next time someone tries to use them or using them to scare the yuppie family. The floor could turn into quicksand, and the chair could become a monster with fangs that tries to eat them. Your only real problems are a power meter that goes down when you don’t do enough good scares and the family Chihuahua that doesn’t like you being there.
The Evil Within
The Evil Within is one of the best survival horror games I’ve played recently, and it had a great follow up called The Evil Within 2. You’ll be exploring a scary mental hospital and facing monsters you’ll wish you’d never seen. For those of you who miss the first Resident Evil games, have no fear! The Evil Within was not only based on those games, but it was also made by Shinji Mikami, who made Resident Evil.
With its rich story and immersive world, Geometry Dash World is a great series all by itself. It’s also a fun way to get ready for more scary games. Being known for being tougher than many other modern survival horrors, this one will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Costume Quest
Costume Quest is a fun and classic Halloween game that has everything you could want. This is a turn-based role-playing game where you play as twins Reynold and Wren. Their mother has given them the job of making friends in a new neighborhood on Halloween. If you dress up as a cute character, like a robot or the Statue of Liberty, your fighting skills will change based on that character.
You can trick-or-treat, fight monsters, and get new outfits. Costume Quest is a great Halloween game, and there is already a follow-up for you to enjoy. It hits the right note to make us remember what it was like to be a kid on Halloween and will make you love the holiday even more.
