Continuing with the leather weather trend predicted for this year, I present to you the pleated mini skirt. I don’t wear mini skirts often because they typically don’t have enough fabric in the back to fully cover my ass. It’s a blessing and a curse for having an apple bottom. Cue the giggles. Anyhoo, I’ve had my eye on this vegan leather skirt from Eloquii for two seasons now and I finally got it for winter because I can wear it with opaque tights and not fear the risk of exposure.
I wore the skirt last month with a puff sleeve top but I wanted to restyle it for a work or lunch-appropriate look. This cropped tweed jacket with a marching band-inspired aesthetic compliments the flirtiness of the pleated skirt perfectly. It’s a little playful yet sophisticated. A mix of some oldies like my Christian Louboutin t-strap sandals and my Chanel pin and new like the black and white faux fur coat and my Celine Triomphe bag complete the look. I kept jewelry to a minimum because let’s face it, the outfit is very loud.
